About this index

A repository of official and derived information on genetic counseling programs in the United States. Every tagged value links directly to its source, and all information is kept as current as possible.

61 of 63 ACGC-accredited US programs. Two closed since 2023 — Brandeis (final cohort 2023) and the University of Oklahoma (accreditation withdrawn 2024) — and are excluded. 361 sources. 16 programs independently re-verified against their own current pages; the rest carry their original extraction. Every value states its own confidence. No score. No ranking. By design.

What the tags mean
Verified

Stated on a primary source — the program's own site or its ACGC record — and checked by hand. Safe to compare directly.

Per program

The program's own claim, published but not independently checkable.

Derived

Computed mechanically from other sourced values. No judgement added.

Estimate

Inferred, or from a secondary source.

Unverified

Carried over from the prior corpus and not yet re-sourced. Treat as provisional.

Not published

Not published by the program.
